Simon Onogu popularly known as DE SOUL LIFTER was born on April 11, 1980s. He is from Akpanya in Igalamela/Odolu Local Government of Kogi State Nigeria.
Simon Onogu is a talented Gospel Musician, Songwriter, music director and recording artist. He is from a family of four.
Simon Onogu developed interest in music, when he was four and at the age of eight, he joined church children choir (Saint Peter Claver Catholic Church Akpanya). Later, he became a part of well-known Gospel Band (Shekinah Glory Gospel Band) and a member of Paraclete Choir of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church Sabon Lugbe Abuja till date.
Simon Onogu has won many awards and is seen as one of the best Catholic contemporary Gospel artist in Nigeria today. This was confirmed in a competition organized by the Catholic Archdiocesan Choir Abuja, where he came out victorious with the 3rd Prize.
He continues to sing gospel songs in concerts, Churches and featured by so many Gospel artists; sending his message to the world. For this purpose, he has founded a ministry (DE SOUL LIFTER MUSIC AND ARTS MINISTRY).
